The Culture of the Kingdom

The Culture of the Kingdom

Jesse Allen

The culture of the Kingdom of God cannot be cultivated until it is received by faith as real in the hearts of Christ’s bride. This culture isn’t one we attempt to obtain by disciplines of behavior modifications that make us more morally pure. This culture is the overflow of the reign and rule of Christ Jesus.

“For indeed, the Kingdom of God is within you.” - Luke 17:21

The Kingdom of God and the realities of its realm exist as a result of the reign of Christ Jesus. The realities of the realm of heaven are a culture that are established because of the reign of Christ as king. The realities of the realm of heaven are what they are because of Christ’s reign.

One reality of the realm in which we currently live is that by nature we continually breathe in air, obtaining the oxygen that we need. This is one reality that is natural to the nature of the realm of earth. As this reality exists by nature in this realm, many realities that we have yet to receive revelation of exist in the realm of heaven under the reign of Christ. Jesus’ mission has always been to pull future realities into present time by bringing the Kingdom of God to earth. Simply put, the Kingdom of God is the reign of Christ and the realities of the Kingdom of God exist because of Jesus’ reign as King. His lordship in our lives releases the realities of his realm in our hearts. As this occurs what is natural by nature in heaven begins to become natural by nature in our life.

A few realities that are natural in the realm of Heaven:

  1. All life is satisfied and sustained by the substance of Christ (Ps. 78:23-24, Jn. 6:54, Romans 14:17).
  2. Naturally our lives with one another are unified as we fully are one with one another as Jesus is one with his Father. (Jn. 17:21-22, 1 Cor. 3:1-3).
  3. Our being (body, soul, and spirit) by nature operates in wholeness, as all that hell has heaped on humanity is non-existent under the reign of Christ (Matt. 10:7-8, Rev. 21:4).
  4. The fruit of the Spirit (love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, and self-control) is a natural reality in the realm of heaven (Gal. 5:22-23, James 3:17).

Anything supernatural to us is merely supernatural because it isn’t yet natural to our nature. However, when operating from heaven to earth in our new nature (Eph. 2:6, Col. 3:1-2, 2 Cor. 5:17), that which was once supernatural becomes supernormal. In the realm of the Kingdom of God, what the realm of earth considers supernatural is natural. When abiding in Christ we are transformed into his likeness, thus that which is natural to him becomes natural to us. Consequently the supernatural begins to become natural as our future new nature is cultivated in the present time.

In the coming ages Christ is going to sit enthroned as king over the earth as he reigns in Jerusalem. However, that reality has yet to take place. In this age he has placed a throne on the human heart which he yearns to reign on. Christ has chosen our heart to host his reign as we surrender and submit to his leadership. When yielded to his reign the culture of his Kingdom begins to infiltrate the affections of our heart, emotions of our will, and the allegiance of our life. That which is natural in heaven begins to be imparted in our hearts, becoming natural in our lives.

God’s heart is for the culture of heaven to become the culture of this world as the Kingdom of God is manifested in and through the life of Christ’s body, the Church (Eph.1:22-23). We have been chosen in this age to host and manifest the culture of the Kingdom of God on earth as it is in heaven. This comes solely as a people fully surrender and submit to the supremacy of Christ and let him sit supreme over all things in their life. As we yield to the reign of Christ, the realities of the realm of the Kingdom of God begins to transform and renew us into our new nature, carrying heaven on earth.
