Kingdom Equip Exists to Equip a Generation to Love Jesus and Long for His Return
Our vision is to see a generation equipped to love Jesus and long for His return.
We are a missions base that empowers, equips, and sends.
We empower disciples to fulfill their God ordained call.We equip sons and daughters of God in their identity in Christ.
We send disciples into nations to spread the supremacy of Christ.
Our mission is to seek the Kingdom of God through prayer and discipleship.
Matthew and Jesse have a passion for equipping and discipling this generation to live a life with radical obedience to King Jesus. Kingdom Equip has been birthed in their hearts as a response to the questions we are asking potential students to answer. They are excited to continue learning with students how to live a life fully devoted to Jesus. Kingdom Equip is part of a ministry called DiscipleNations (DN). DN ignites Spirit-led movements of prayer and disciple-making in cities and nations for the glory of God. All of DN's missionaries give themselves to serve the Church by stirring up practical prayer strategies and multiplying relational discipleship.
Matthew Penner has been in ministry since his graduation from Tabor College in 1998. In that year, he and his wife Angie became missionaries with World Impact in Wichita. During this time, Matthew graduated from TUMI with a degree in Biblical Studies and Urban Missions, assisted in the training of urban leaders, he and Angie helped plant Lighthouse Community Church, and they had their two kids, Ethan and Bree. Following the death of his brother in 2008, Matthew went on a deep journey of healing with the Lord, through which the Lord birthed a passion and vision in him for prayer and revival. As this vision developed, Matthew began to dream of creating an equipping ministry and discipleship school for the training of young adults. In 2016, after 17 years with World Impact, Matthew and Angie joined Disciple Nations, and in 2020, Matthew saw his dream come to fruition when he and Jesse held the first Kingdom Equip School of Ministry in Hillsboro. In 2021, after 23 years in Wichita, Matthew and Angie moved to the Hillsboro area, where they now reside, to further pursue their vision to establish an equipping base.
Born and raised in Hillsboro, KS, Jesse Allen is passionate about partnering with Jesus to raise up a generation that radically loves Jesus and longs for his return. Shortly after graduating from Tabor College in 2016, Jesse’s heart began to yearn for the next generation and the nations while he and his wife Tara served in Thailand for seven months as part of a Mennonite Brethren missions program known as TREK. After serving alongside the local church planters, Jesse and Tara moved back to Hillsboro where they now live with their two daughters, Kinsley and Harper. In 2021, Jesse earned a Masters of Science in Ministry, Entrepreneurship, and Innovation from Tabor College. Along with his passion for continued learning, Jesse has a deep passion for teaching the Word of God. He is the author of Loving the Lord’s Anointed as well as the co-author of The Supremacy of Christ. He also partners with a Wichita-based ministry called Disciple Nations, through which he serves and equips the body of Christ to know their identity in Jesus and walk out their destiny in the kingdom of God.
We believe in one sovereign God, eternally existing in Three Persons: the everlasting Father; His One and Only Son, Jesus Christ our Lord; and the Holy Spirit, the Giver of life; and we believe God created the heavens and the earth out of nothing by His spoken word, and for His own glory.
We believe Jesus Christ was conceived by the Holy Spirit, born of the Virgin Mary, and was true God and true Man, existing in one Person and without sin; we believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of our Lord, in His ascension into heaven, and in His present life there for us as Lord of all, High Priest, and Advocate.
We believe that our first parents sinned by rebelling against God’s revealed will and thereby incurred both physical and spiritual death; as a result, all human beings are born with a sinful nature that leads them to sin in thought, word, and deed.
We believe the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins, according to the Scriptures, as a representative and substitutionary sacrifice, triumphing over all evil, and that all who believe in Him are declared righteous and forgiven of all their sins by His shed blood.
We believe all who believe into Lord Jesus Christ are born again of the Holy Spirit and thereby become children of God and are enabled to offer spiritual worship acceptable to God.
We believe the one, holy, universal Church is the Body of Christ, comprised of all those who have been gathered into Christ.
We believe in the bodily resurrection of the righteous and unrighteous, the everlasting punishment of the lost, and the everlasting blessedness of the saved.
We believe God has revealed Himself and His truth in the created order, in the Scriptures, and supremely in Jesus Christ, and that the Scriptures of the Old and New Testaments are inspired by God and inerrant in their revelation of the Word of God (Christ Jesus), in their witness to the words of God, and in the revelation of the apostolic standard of faith and practice.
We believe God directly created Adam and Eve, the historical parents of the entire human race, and that they were created in His own Image, distinct from all other living creatures, and in a state of original righteousness.
We believe in the existence of Satan, sin, evil powers, and the spirit of the world and that all these have been defeated by God in the cross of Christ.
We believe water baptism and the Lord’s Supper are not requirements for salvation, but outward expressions of an inward love for Jesus, acts of obedience that please God, encouraged and administered after rebirth by the Holy Spirit.
We believe the Holy Spirit indwells and gives life to believers, enables them to understand the Scriptures, empowers them for fruitful, godly living, and equips them with power for service and witness.
We believe in the blessed hope that Jesus Christ will soon return to this earth, personally, and visibly in power and great glory, to raise the dead, to gather His elect, to judge the nations, and to bring His Kingdom to fulfillment.
